Driving progress towards a cleaner, more circular future

This year’s sustainability report showcases how we are turning ambition into action, embedding sustainability into every part of our business and driving measurable impact. From expanding renewable energy generation, to diversifying our low-carbon fleet, to growing apprenticeship opportunities and strengthening safety leadership, 2024 was a year of real progress.

Highlights include:

• Handling 4.4 million tonnes of material across the Group, maximising recovery and reducing waste
  Generating over 71,000 MWh of renewable electricity – more than we consumed
  
• Installing 2.07 MW of rooftop solar, with a further 2 MW already planned for 2025
  Expanding our low-carbon fleet with electric and CNG vehicles, supported by a new refuelling station
  
• Delivering over 45,000 hours of health & safety training and rolling out SHEQ Safety Leadership programmes across the business
  
• Growing our apprenticeship programme from 4 to 14, creating opportunities across mechanics, fabrication, and business administration
  
• Our Carbon Net Zero 2040 goal continues to guide every decision we make, from energy to fleet, to how we support our people and communities
